New Prevent Strategy
David Cameron was reported to have said that he wants to target those Muslims who hold un-British values. What these values are is not hard to imagine, it is the same old story about integration and adopting the Western way of life in all aspects.
This is just a continuation of what he said earlier this year in Munich about state multiculturalism failing. The carrot has been put away by the British government and it seems the stick will be coming out. Will be interesting to see what proposals Theresa May makes in the new Prevent strategy tomorrow.
Some early signs are that Universities will be asked to curtail so called extremism as well as NHS staff who will be told to look out for rogue elements. This could include patients or staff. The good old reds under the beds communist type hysteria is being whipped up again.
Muslim Brotherhood don’t want to rule
I always thought the whole point of a politics was to give your vision of how to regulate society to the world. With Islam that would the Islamic System. Bearing this in mind the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood who for decades have been harassed my ex-President Mubarak’s regime have decided they don’t actually want any leadership of the country.
How can this be? What is the point of convincing people to ‘vote’ for you when you don’t want to rule.
This is a classic example of the Western propaganda war against Islam affecting the Muslim world. The scaremongering by the likes of Cameron (see above) that the Sharia is a backward idea have had a direct impact on the attitude of the Brotherhood, it seems they don’t want to be looking bad in front of the West.
